Civil engineering and construction software, free in your browser

CivilOS is one platform covering the work a civil engineering office actually does: drafting, modelling, measurement, cost and site control. Every tool below runs in a browser tab — nothing to install, no licence — and they share one project, so a wall you draw becomes a quantity, a rate and a bill without being re-entered.

It is built around Indian practice — IS codes, the CPWD DSR, State PWD schedules of rates and the NBC — while remaining suitable for international standards and projects.

Drafting

CAD software2D drafting with a real command line, snaps, dimensions, layers, blocks and DXF export — in a browser tab. MEP drafting softwareElectrical, plumbing, HVAC and fire symbols on discipline layers, drafted over your plan.

Modelling

BIM softwareRevit-style authoring: levels, walls, hosted doors and windows, schedules and IFC4 exchange. 3D building design softwareModel the building and its site in 3D, X-ray the structure, walk in at eye level, export GLB.

Design

Architecture softwareConcept floor plans for any building type, room-by-room areas, sheets and DXF.

Structures

Structural detailing softwareColumn, beam and footing schedules, reinforcement quantities and IS-code bar bending. Bar bending schedule softwareIS 2502 / SP 34 cutting lengths and laps, every row carrying its own formula, into Excel.

Cost

Estimation softwareQuantities from drawings into an IS-code BOQ, priced from a real schedule of rates. Cost estimation softwareCPWD DSR 2023, State PWD SOR and market rates, with transparent rate analysis. BOQ softwareBill of quantities with hierarchy, revisions, sanctioned estimate and RA bill formats. Quantity surveying softwareTake-off from a drawing, a linked measurement book and a checkable abstract.

Planning

Construction planning softwareCPM with WBS, FS/SS/FF/SF links and lag, baseline and a critical path you can read.

Site

GIS softwareDraw a plot on a live satellite map — area, FAR, GeoJSON, KML and DXF out. Site audit & QA/QC appIS-code checklists, photos, GPS, NCRs and signed reports — offline first.

What CivilOS is not

Being clear about this saves everybody time. CivilOS does no structural analysis or design — there is no frame solver and no member check. It performs no MEP sizing or load calculation. It has no clash detection, no 4D or 5D simulation and no point clouds. Its CAD writes DXF, not DWG, and has no paper-space layouts, no XREF and no scripting. Where a tool is limited, each page below says so in its own words.
